That morning, I got up nice and early, checked out, and hopped on a bus to Pearl Harbour - when in Oahu, definitely go! It was an incredible and very interesting place. The bus ride was about 1hr 20mins away from my hostel, but it went nice and quickly. I love travelling by bus - I got to see a bit more of Honolulu as well.
When I got to Pearl Harbour, I explored the grounds a little bit. They have memorials and plaques everywhere, as well as many different types of torpedos scattered around - I didn't realise there were so many kinds! I decided to visit the U.S.S Bowfin (though I regret not having enough time to explore the U.S.S Arizona too). The U.S.S Bowfin is a submarine that the US soldiers used in WW2. It was incredible to walk through, and see what these 30+ men had to live in when they were out at sea. It was so tightly cramped, and there weren't even enough beds for every man. Because I can't remember too much detail from the tour, here are some pictures of inside and outside the submarine.

After Pearl Harbour, I was getting very mindful of the time, as I needed to be back for my airport shuttle. I managed to find the correct bus and make it back with about an hour to spare. To say goodbye, I headed down to the beach one last time, and out on to the jetty to enjoy the sight of the beautiful, clear water. Hawaii is an incredible place, I can't wait to go back there again!

The shuttle then picked me up and got me to the airport a good 3 hours before my flight left! Apparently they were expecting horrific traffic, which is quite common in Oahu. I can't remember what I had in my mind before I got to Oahu, but I was expecting all tropical island living. I was very wrong! They have an incredible amount of highways and traffic! Luckily, we managed to avoid this on the way to the airport.
After bumming around for a few hours, and updating my blog posts, I was on the 9pm flight out of Oahu and over to Los Angeles!
